My wife and I were invited to my brother-in-law's home for cherry-blossom
viewing party.
He's a husband of my wife's younger sister living in central Tokyo.
Their house is located in Shinmachi, Setagaya Ward, Tokyo.

Yesterday, the weather forecast said it would be rainy tomorrow afternoon.
But today it says it will rain from the evening.
And so we feel like we can watch cherry blossoms at ease.
When we drived along the Daisan Keihin Road for nearly one hour, we arrived at
a residential area in Shinmachi.

Tokyo Metropolitan Government probably has sufficient financial resouces.
That's why the road is neatly maintained and a good housing environment
is provided.
Each house has its own unique character and so they make beautiful street
landscape.

My wife's nephew also was invited to it.
Under their conduct, we went out for a cherry viewing walk in the road lined with
cherry trees along Nomikawa River nearby.
The walking course is shown by the ● marks on the following map.

Look! The cherry blossoms were at their best.
The Nomikawa River originates near Sakurashinmachi and flows through Meguro
and Ota Wards into Tokyo Bay.
We walked the upstream region with a distance of about one kilometer in
which
the stream of water can be seen as you can see.
He said the river flows in the underdrain from here and there is a greenway
on it.

In this neighborhood, there are pathways lined with cherry trees on both sides of
the river.
They were crowded with many people who came to see the cherry blossoms.
Even in central Tokyo, the maximum temperature exceeded 20 degrees Celsius
for three days straight.
It seems that the cherry blossoms burst into full bloom this day because
of it.

There was also row of cherry blossom trees on both sides of street just a block
away from here.

We came back to the river to retrace our steps watching cherry blossoms.
We could also see a “Nomikawa River”sign.

After that, the cherry blossom viewing party was held at home.
We were entertained with delicious red wine and Japanese sake Daiginjoshu
“Uragasumi”with sister-in-law's home cooking and enjoyed chatting about
various topics.
I really drank much alcohol today !
Good cherry blossoms, good cooking and good alcohol.
It was great cherry blossom viewing party.
