A cruise and cycling trip in autumn No.148−Sep.29, 2011

The season’s 15th and 16th typhoons are in the South Pacific Ocean.

According to typhoon information service from the Meteorological Agency, it’ll be a long
time before they approach to Japan.

The weather forecast said it was going to be cloudy in the western part of Izu Peninsula
but not to be rough on the sea on the following day.
And so autumn cruising and cycling trip took place as planned.

This time we are going to cruise back and forth between Omosu marina in Numazu
and Matsuzaki Port in the southern Izu.

We stayed at the hotel in Matsuzaki for two nights.

On the second day, some of our party including me enjoyed cycling in the southern Izu.

The number of crew members was 11, including 3 females.
So, we sailed out on board two yachts.

Their names are Chesapeake ( the owner is TKsan) and MAXy FUTABA (the owner is Yamadasan) of which Omosu marina is the home port.

The Chesapeake that I was on board sailed in Matsuzaki Port taking about 8 hours.

On the second day, I rode my bike with two of the party through the mountain range and
along the shoreline in the southern Izu.

It was really hot because of fine weather.

And some up and down hills with a big difference in height in the southern Izu were tough
for me.

For me who have usually been riding my bike on the flat road along LakeBiwa, this was
a likely cycle class.

As I enhanced stamina, I could live another 10 years longer than normallife-span.

By the way, to tell the truth, unexpected things happened while cruising on te first day and
cycling on the second day.
I’m going to write in the following diary about these things.

Sailing, cycling, hot spring bathing and fresh local fish dishes were nice.

And also female crews added the gaiety to the trip.
Anyway, we could enjoy a cruise and cycling trip for three days.
