Last evening, from 5:30 p.m., I enjoyed the regular mahjong competition.
It has been held three times a year.
I have taken part in it almost invariably.
It's hosted by "Shinobu"，which is Japanese−style restaurant
near my home in Yokohama.
Participants in the competition are regular customers of the restaurant.
The entry fee is 5 thousands yen a person.
12 players were in three foursomes，starting the game on three mahjong tables
at the same
time.
Snacking on various appetizers cooked by master's wife of the restaurant, we can drink
as much beers and Japanese sake as we want through this event.
According to the competition rules，we play mahjong game four times.
But we have to stop each game just one hour later.
After two games，we had about a 30 minutes break，while eating cold somen
noodle.
Everybody build up their fighting spirit for the other two games by taking
breath.
As the photo below shows，I took first place in the first game， but received
a minus score
in the other three games.
After all， I finished sixth with plus three points.
Finally, an awarding ceremony was held.
Suzuki−san won the cup and received a cash award.
He drank a Cup of beer in a gult with gusto.
After that，the result of the Keiba Game was announced.
To my surprize，I and Beppu−san won a bet. I shared all the bets with him.
Though I lost at mahjong competition，I was happy because I won a bet and made enough
money for train fare between Yokohama and Kusatsu in Shiga prefecture.
Anyway，I enjoyed an exciting mahjong competition after a long interval.
