It’s been more than one week since I moved to my new house in Kusatsu city.

I made an application for an admission to an Internet and cable TV service provider called
K-opticom soon after moving to here.
Sumida-san, ｔhank you for your introducing new provider, ”K-opticom”, to me.
He is a membership of the provider.

　This povider happened to hold a special sales campaaign.
The provider gives the privileges to new member and an existing member who introduced
him to it during the sales campaign.

　They are as follows.
New member can use Internet free of charge for the first month.
And also an introducer can get gift tickets of 5,000-yen from provider.

　I was going to sign up for the local Internet provider in Kansai area in accordance with
the move.
And so I signed up for Internet service called eo−hikari−net and cable TV service called
eo−hikari−TV.

　Provider says it could take more than one month before we get these service for the first
time during this season.
It's because many people are waiting their turn of the cable work for leading optical fiber
cable indoors and connecting it to optical network unit and then network termination unit.

　One week has passed since I moved.
Since I couldn't watch TV and access the Internet, I have been isolated from news of
the outside world.
There is just a silent world at home.
I have never felt so inconvenient and have been almost driven mad.

　I made a reservation about a week ago to borrow a complimentary TV antenna from
the provider.
Today it was delivered by home-delivery service.
I'm able to watch TV usinng the antenna till the cable TV service is available.

　I connected an antenna cable to PDP−TV on the floor right away.
I set up some TV parameters to recieve TV signals while I red TV's instruction mannual
carefully.
I watched TV picture at new house for the first time after the move.

　Today, I have a lot of schedule from morning.

I got up at seven earlier than usual.

I had a breakfast with two pieces of delicious bun from nearby bakery and a cup of coffee.

　It was fine and warmer than yesterday.
The doorbell rang twice a little before 9 a.m.
Some people from the private contractor visited my place.
The supervisor introduced four workers to me.
The exterior construction starts from today.

First, they began the groundwork for putting the fences on the back and the right side of
new house.

　In the meantime, some household appliances like an automatic washing machine,
a refrigerator, a microwave oven and a rice cooker were delivered from the delivery center
of BIC Camera.

　They were unpacked and set at the prescribed place.
Some of them were grounded.

And then the supervisor demonstrated simply to me how they work.

　When it's explained to me about something back to back, I often forget some of them
right away.
And so I thought I could read the instruction if I had such a situation.

　Anyway, I'm glad I can wash my underwear and drink well-chilled beer for the first time here
since I moved.

　From afternoon, the field overseer from Pana Home visited me with a carpenter in order to
set up towel rack newly.
It finished in about twenty minutes.
I’m happy my new house achieves its final shape little by little.

　Today is a day that carries out our furniture and household goods for moving at last.

It took about one week to finish our packing the household goods in many cardboard cartons.
They have been stacked on Japanese−style room on the first floor.
The trucking firm specializing in piano visited my house before 9 a.m. a little bit ahead of
schedule.
First of all, my daughter’s piano was carried out from her upstairs room.

　They knew on our advance meeting that the stair was narrower than the piano, and so lifted
it down through her room’s window using their crane.

　I watched the whole of their operations.
They were worthy to be professional workers of the firm.
Although there were a tall hedge on the street side of my house and also some electric and
telephone cables paralleled the hedge above it, they did that excellently with their delicate
operations.

　This piano will be delivered to my new house about two weeks later.

It slanted backward and forward during the operation and will also shake during
transportation by truck.

　As a result, it can’t have its original tones.

And so it would be delivered after the agent side would tune it to recover the original tone,
I heard.

I was satisfied of their explanation.

　After that, five workers from Nittsu as a transportation company carry out many cardboards,
a wardrobe, a TV, bookcases and so on.

　First, they worked speedily to protect the inside floors and walls by some shock absorber
like corrugated papers, and then carried out one cardboard after another into the truck.

On the other hand, some of them packed a large size of household effects like a wardrobe,
a TV and bookcases.
These cargos were loaded into the truck speedily and all the operation was finished in about
an hour or so.

I got lonely because every room in my house had fewer household goods.
